No. 1 Alabama beats No. 11 Mississippi State 38-7.

What we know:

•AJ McCarron continues to look Heisman worthy.

•Alabama doesn’t believe…. In Mississippi State, that is. 

•Bend but don’t break. For the second week, Alabama’s defense has allowed the opposing team to drive it down the field, only to pick them off in the end zone.

•Up next: Alabama heads down to Death Valley to play LSU. 
   
Report Card:

•Offense: A-
Alabama’s offense jumped out to a fast start, but in the second quarter seemed to slump a little bit.
•Defense: A-
Mississippi had a couple of chances to make a game out it, but the defense keep them out of the end zone until late in the fourth quarter. 
•Special Teams: A+
Blocked a field goal and help control the field position for most of the game.   

The Numbers:

Passing:

•A.J. MaCarron completed 16 of his 23 passes for 208 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

•State’s Tyler Russell completed 15 of his 30 passes for 169 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Rushing:

•TJ Yeldon rushed for 84 yards on 10 carries for one touchdown.

•Kenyan Drake rushed for 47 yards on eight carries for one touchdown. 


Receiving:

•Eddie Lacy wasn’t much of factor rushing the ball, but reeled in four passes for 57 yards and one touchdown.

•Kenny Bell added 57 yards and a touchdown on his only reception.
