ALABAMA FOOTBALL: LSU’s Ground Game
From the Associated Press
The ninth-ranked Tigers are averaging 141.5 yards rushing, or 25 yards per game off their pace from a season earlier and 73 yards
below their average in 2007. The only time LSU’s had a 100-yard rusher in a single game this season was when Charles Scott did it
last weekend in a 42-0 victory over Tulane.
Coach Les Miles says he still believes in his running runners and offensive line, but notes that they must improve to give LSU
some balance at No. 3 Alabama on Saturday.
\
LSU’s biggest challenge on defense will be stopping the run. TheCrimson Tide averages 218 yards rushing and star running back Mark
Ingram already has surpassed 1,000 yards this season.
