TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama football team continued its preparations for divisional foe Mississippi State by practicing for two hours in full pads, Wednesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields.

“We had a pretty good day’s work out there today,” said Alabama head coach Nick Saban. “I am glad to see the players bouncing back to respond to what happened, and that they are looking forward to what they can accomplish in the future. The things we need to focus on are playing well and what we can control. We need to finish strong in the next three games of this season.”

Alabama junior linebacker Dont’a Hightower was one of eight players in the country named a Lott IMPACT Trophy semifinalist, the Pacific Club announced on Wednesday.

Sponsored by The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation in Newport Beach, the award is given to the player who exhibits the same characteristics Lott embodied during his distinguished career: Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.

Saturday’s game will air on ESPN with Brad Nessler serving as the play-by-play announcer, Todd Blackledge as the color analyst and Holly Rowe as the sideline reporter.
